Don't mind me

Don't mind me to much.
This is a short story, only 324 words, and is true that writing is HARD.
I did it for one of my english clases. And I'm posting it here just so I wouldn't lose my homework. Becouse it happens to me... a lot.
I'm a disaster.
The End of the Nightmare
This is getting ridiculous. It’s like there is no end to their numbers. They keep coming and coming. No matter how many of them we get rid of, they keep crawling out of every hole and crack. They are everywhere.
We didn’t expect them this soon. They use the dark as their ally, hiding from the light and the eclipse took us by surprise, we did not see that coming.
They are wearing us down. We are getting tired. Run, we need to run.
“Run!” I yell to my companions. “Run to the Citadel! Run as fast as you can! Don’t look back!”
It’s difficult to move fast with our armor but we have to try. Try as hard as we can. We only have one chance. We can make it if we reach the Citadel.
The Citadel, with its narrow passages and sharp angles, should make them attack in smaller numbers. Easier for us to overcome. We can turn the tables on them in the Citadel. That will buy us some time. Time we so desperately need.
They are closing in on us when we reach the doors of the Citadel. We manage to slip through its doors just in time. They enter like an explosion, filling all space with their bodies trying to get to us but just as I expected the alleys work as a big funnel making their lines smaller and easier for us to repel.
Now is our chance to fight for our lives and who knows, maybe even keep them.
A few more minutes and we will be free of this nightmare, a few more minutes and the sun will shine again, coming to our rescue.
Only a few more minutes, and it will be the end of the nightmare... for now. They will be back. We have to be prepared when the time comes. And we will.
Only a few more minutes.
